It's our 10th Anniversary as a community library this October! To mark this special milestone, we are hosting a series of celebratory events throughout the year including our annual scarecrow trail, an Open Air Cinema evening, a special 10th birthday raffle and a tea party for volunteers, past and present in October.
To enter a scarecrow for our 2025 Rothley Village Scarecrow Trail on 20th and 21st September 2025 - you can complete this online registration form http://form.jotform.com/251656792851064 or pop into the library during opening hours and ask for a paper form.
We have a new online fundraising intiative - Easyfundraising! it's easy to sign up, you just have to nominate us as your chosen charity, the online retailer then pays a small % of items purchased to us. Community Book Group - Yates is Dead
Yeats is Dead! is an elaborate mystery centered around the search for something more valuable and precious than anything else in Ireland–an unpublished manuscript by James Joyce. A madcap chase ensues, spiced with the shenanigans of a spectacular array of characters: a sadistic sergeant with the unlikely name of Andy Andrews; a urinal paddy salesman; and the unforgettable Mrs. Bloom, a woman “who had tried everything but drew the line at honesty.” Gratuitously violent and completely hilarious, Yeats is Dead! is an out-of-control tale of lust and literature that packs big laughs and an even bigger body count.
